The Critter Collective is a 16+ social group for those involved in critter-related subcultures or with critter-related identities (such as furries, therians/otherkin, pups and the miscellaneously creature aligned) who are interested in creating or consuming art (such as writing, music, craft and drawing) to come together to create, celebrate each other's creativity and be themselves.
This group is anticapitalist and NOT a networking group- whilst it is perfectly fine to work on projects with people here and it is also perfectly fine to share your work with others there, you should not come to the group with the sole intention of promoting your work.
This group is for growing artistically. As such, you don’t have to be the most skilled or most knowledgeable about any specific topic in order to join or to have any formal training or expertise. Especially since this group is multi-disciplinary, we will all be learning and growing together.
The Critter Collective endeavours to be an inclusive space. In terms of safety from harassment, anyone found harassing others will be kicked from the group. Disability-wise, if you need a specific accommodation please contact us at creaturecollective@proton.me . We will endeavour to always meet in wheelchair accessible spaces and always be mindful of dietary restrictions (PLEASE let us know about these ahead of time if you can, though). We try to be size inclusive too in terms of seating. Masks are highly encouraged and spare surgical masks will be provided, although at events with food, they will likely be off for large periods of time.
We are currently running both daytime picnic events held at Lincoln Square on weekends and evening events held at the Stingo Hotel on Wednesdays. Please email here (creaturecollective@proton.me) to join the mailing list and discord server for more info. Please specify your name and your discord username (if you want to join the discord server). If you want an email template, click here.
The Creature Collective would like to pay our respects to the Wurundjeri people, who are the traditional owners of the land we meet on. Sovereignity has never been ceded.
